Alvecote Priory

This 3 acre site sits on a sharp bend of the Coventry Canal about 3 miles east of Tamworth, and is an ideal location for family picnics and games. The mature shrubs and trees once formed the gardens of the house which was built from the stone of the old Benedictine Priory. The site is owned by Warwickshire County Council, and managed in partnership with Warwickshire Borough Council and Shuttington Parish Council.

Alvecote Priory is a ruined Benedictine Priory in Alvecote, Warwickshire, England. Now very little remains of the priory, most of the walls have been eroded but a fairly high wall remains on one side.
