OXFORD RIVER CRUISES WAS ESTABLISHED IN 2004. THE COMPANY OFFERS HIGH QUALITY RIVER TRIPS, SIGHTSEEING TOURS AND PRIVATE BOAT HIRE ON THE UPPER REACHES OF THE RIVER THAMES IN AND AROUND OXFORD.
Originally operating a single Edwardian river launch the company has now expanded and has a small fleet of characterful luxury passenger vessels.
Oxford River Cruises is the only river cruise operator to offer regular river trips and boat hire on the beautiful stretch of river upstream of the University City.
Oxford River Cruises aims to offer an intimate, personalised and relaxing experience of river life. Our sightseeing tours include short trips taking in the main highlights of river life in Oxford. We also offer longer public boat trips which take passengers out of the busiest areas of Oxford, so often busy with tour groups, to the beautiful and peaceful water meadows to the north of the city. Our private boat hire options allow are passengers to tour the river at their own pace and to relax and enjoy all the sights along the river bank.
Since 2005 we have offered cruises from the river terrace of The Folly restaurant in the heart of Oxford. The restaurant welcomes our passengers to relax in comfortable surroundings and enjoy excellent food and drinks before and after their cruise.
For visitors and locals alike a trip aboard one of our launches can be one of the most rewarding things to do in Oxford. While hiring a boat for the day or afternoon can give a taste of a slower life away from the hustle and bustle of many Oxford tourist attractions.
