Stratfield Saye House

The 1st Duke of Wellington acquired the estate in 1818 following the Battle of Waterloo.
The Estate today comprises Stratfield Saye House where the 1st Duke lived from 1818 to 1852, the excellent equestrian facilities at Wellington Riding, family activities at Wellington Country Park, quality local produce at the Wellington Farm Shop, residential and commercial rental properties and sporting interests on the wider estate. In the heart of the English countryside on the Hampshire/Berkshire border, you’ll find the elegant, but intimate, Stratfield Saye House, home to the Dukes of Wellington since 1817. The house and gardens offer an intriguing and informative insight into the life of the Great Duke of Wellington.
