The Herb Farm was established in 1985 with the reconstruction on its present site of the picturesque 18th-century timber-framed barn transported from a farm south of Reading. This building formed the centre-piece of the specialist herb propagation and growing enterprise - the sale of herb and other home and garden products was introduced in 1989.
The Main EntranceThe Saxon Maze was opened in 1991 to coincide with the Year of the Maze, and has proved to be a very popular attraction, especially popular with families. The maze is currently undergoing extensive regeneration work to improve the quality of the beech hedging.
